| Information | A practical half-day update in which we explore the role of the IFRS Interpretations Committee:
• Examine the status and significance of Agenda Decisions, and discuss what they mean for entities preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements.
• The session will unpack recent Agenda Decisions issued by the Committee, highlight the underlying principles being clarified, and consider their implications for accounting policies, financial reporting processes and technical accounting judgements.
•Through a series of real-world examples and case studies, we will demonstrate how Agenda Decisions assist in the implementation of IFRS Accounting Standards and discuss the practical challenges entities face when assessing whether changes to accounting policies, systems or disclosures may be required.
•Participants will also gain insight into the Committee's due process, how Agenda Decisions are developed, and why regulators, auditors and preparers increasingly expect these publications to be considered when applying IFRS.
