Angella Makowe
Angella is a Technical Manager at W.consulting.
She trained with BDO Zimbabwe and BDO South Africa, where her portfolio of clients included listed entities, public interest entities as well as other significant unlisted entities in the manufacturing retail and property sector.
She has worked with other organisations including ISACA and IRBA and has travelled into Africa within her role as the national manager for audit technical with BDO South Africa and has acquired experience and insight into the Southern and Eastern African territory.
Angella has been involved in IFRS, and assurance engagements quality control process for JSE-listed and public interest entities and has, over the years, gained significant experience in the interpretation and practical application of IFRS and International Standards in Auditing.
Furthermore, Angella is involved in information systems audit and internal audit discussions and has presented on topical issues including fraud risk management at conferences and workshops.
Angella Makowe serves on the ISACA South Africa Board in the treasury function and sits on the SAICA Johannesburg District Committee as well as being Vice-President for SAICA YCAN division which serves the interests of CA (SA)’s under the age of 35.
She also sits as an observer on the IRBA Standard setting committee and works on various task groups within the IRBA.
